When to visit Micronesia

Like any other islands near the equator, Micronesia experiences a nice tropical weather all year. It enjoys an average temperature of 26°C (80°F), with the coldest temperature peaking at 21°C (70°F). This kind of weather leaves Micronesia in nice shades of color and makes the country perfect for any kind of activity. Here you’ll get an alluring combination of sun, sand, and everything tropical.

High humidity is often experienced from November to February, but the temperature is generally tolerable. You can still travel across the country, but be sure to wear light clothes.

Micronesia experiences relief from the warm temperature by March to October, when the trade winds blow from the northeast. During these months, the temperature is refreshing and makes for a nice tropical vacation.

Rains usually occur from April to November, peaking in the months of July to October. In Pohnpei, however, rains are almost part of everyday life. In fact, it is one of the rainiest places on earth. The temperature is still relatively warm in this state, but if you decide to visit Pohnpei, don’t forget to bring your rain gear.

Generally, though, you need to bring hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen when visiting Micronesia. All these should protect you when boating, sunbathing, visiting island villages, and doing practically anything under the sun.
